Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy PEG Tube Feeding Policy

A Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy is otherwise known as a PEG. A gastrostomy is formed when the resident cannot eat enough to meet his or her nutritional requirements. A gastrostomy is a small surgically made hole from the skin to the stomach, into which a tube is inserted. This tube is called a peg tube. This document outlines the Care Homes policy.
