Angry or Aggressive Behaviour Nursing Care Plan

Angry or aggressive behaviour can be a manifestation of many different emotions, frustration, boredom, fear, confusion, pain, search for safety, or inability to request help. It may include inappropriate verbal or motor activity. Angry or aggressive verbal behaviour can include shouting, swearing, or using foul and abusive language. Angry or aggressive physical behaviour can include hitting or scratching or attempting to do these things.

The Angry Behaviour Care Plan sets out a clear explanation of the resident’s issue, and will quickly guide the nurse or carer through the process of preparing a comprehensive, individual person centred strategy.
