Moving and Assisting Assessment

The assessment helps the nurse or carer to assess the resident to determine the level of the resident’s mobility and the level of assistance the resident needs in relation to moving and handling. It also helps to identify the correct equipment required for moving and handling to safeguard the resident and staff from injury.
